In November the SASC and other Clubs in the Eastern UP participate with the MIDNR in a Deer Camp Survey.
Deer camps from across the Eastern UP are mailed the survey with several questions asking about their hunting experience for the season.
Results of the most recent Deer Camp Survey can be found below.
Every October the SASC takes part in the Spotlight Survey in a selected area assigned to them by the Michigan DNR.
Every November the SASC holds a Big Buck Contest for area hunters. Prizes are awarded for the the number of points 1" or longer, the widest rack from inside to inside and legally tagged.
Check back in November for the next Big Buck contest.
The Michigan DNR conducts these camp surveys every fall in the Eastern and Western U.P. Each report is downloadable for you to view.
