The Straits Area Sportsmen's Club was formed in 1975 with the mission of promoting hunting, fishing, trapping, and conservation of our natural resources. Additionally, we educate and inform our membership, our youth, and the community about conservation issues and teach them how to enjoy and protect our outdoor heritage.
The Straits Area Sportsman’s Club is a very active group of volunteers who are very active in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Upper Peninsula Sportsmen's Alliance and Michigan United Conservation Clubs. We participate regularly in a variety of activities and projects in the Straits Area.
Over the past 26 years, members have completed and currently are working on several different projects. Here are just a few examples:
